We've Only Just Begun throw!

Howdy, everyone, if anyone is out there is Pottery-land.. I'm two weeks into my first class at Kickwheel Pottery in Tucker, Ga. The class is Zen and Pottery, and all we do is throw cylinders and cut them in half.

My partner, who's been taking pottery for over a year, hates watching me do that, but it's good practice. As a novice Buddhist, I know that everything is temporal anyway, so I really don't mind cutting them in half. It helps me to see how my movements affect the formatation of the cylinder. By day, I work as a Linux System Admin for a small company north of Atlanta, and doing pottery is a great way to focus on nothingness, in a way I can't do at work.
